The city of Stamford collects garbage once per week Ö on Monday morning. You should put your garbage out on Sunday night for early morning pick-up.
For those who have overflow problem, there is an extra can in the recycle area and an extra can in the apartment collection area. If itís more convenient, you can make arrangements with a neighbor who has room in his or her can.
Since the garbage pick-up procedure involves one-man trucks, we cannot expect that the cans will be moved from the storage area to the truck by the sanitation people.
If you want your garbage picked up on Monday morning, you will have to move your can into the yellow-striped area in front of the entrance.
